Uchi-Con at Universoty of Chicago

Come to Uchi-Con 2019 February 9 at the University of Chicago and stay at the nearby and affordable LaQuinta Inn & Suites in historic Hyde Park!

Uchi-con is the free, student-run anime convention held yearly at the University of Chicago’s Ida Noyes Hall. UCJAS, the University of Chicago Japanese Animation Society, is responsible for planning the event and holding it.

Uchi-con is held on one Saturday at the beginning of February or end of January from 10AM to 6PM, and it’s free! We ask that people preregister to give us an estimate of how many people to expect and to ensure that the registration lines will move quickly at-con. Please read our rules before preregistering! (It’s mandatory to agree to the rules when preregistering, so it’s in your best interest to know what you’ve agreed to!)

Enjoy the Photo Booth, Café, Gaming, Karaoke, anime screening, silent auction and film screening!

This year at Uchi-Con, we are hosting a student-run maid cafe! Charming maids and butlers are eager to welcome you with a smile. Each session will run for one hour and includes complementary tea, cookies, and lots of fun! If you’re still hungry, we are excited to offer an additional selection of Japanese treats. Please enjoy our take on the authentic maid cafe experience!

Uchi-Con will be held at the Ida Noyes Hall at the University of Chicago, 1212 Est 59th Street in Hyde Park. To register for Uchi-Con, sign up for an account on Tumblr at uchi-con.tumblr.comi-con.tumblr.com.
