Top Places to Go Watch the Bulls

As natives of Chicago, we live and breath everything that The Windy City has to offer. From deep-dish pizza and a history rooted in blues music to the museums and sports teams that call our city home, there is a lot to be excited about when living in Chicago. While you are visiting us at The LaQuinta Inn and Suites Chicago Lake Shore, the premiere University of Chicago hotel, you have the whole city at your fingertips. Whether you are here for a night, a weekend, a week, or longer there is guaranteed to be something worth exploring. As diehard Chicago Bulls fans, we especially feel that you are lucky to be arriving around the start of the NBA season. Of all the top places to go watch the Bulls around the country, nothing beats a home game at the storied United Center. The United Center was home to Michael Jordan’s famed 1990s Bulls teams and still holds some of that very magic. This fall, check out a game when you are in town and find out for yourself why Chicago is obviously one of the top places to go watch the Bulls. Below are three Bulls home games to mark on your calendar.

Chicago Bulls vs. Detroit Pistons – October 20th

October 20th serves as the 2018/2019 home opener for the Chicago Bulls, and they just so happen to be hosting longtime rival the Detroit Pistons. The opening games of any season for any sport carry a certain level of excitement, and this game won’t be any different. Jabari Parker is new to the Bulls this season, and the anticipation is at an all time high. Further, the Pistons now have last year’s Coach of the Year Dwane Casey calling the shots. This game could answer a lot of questions that fans have moving forward into the 2018/2019 season.

Chicago Bulls vs. Golden State Warrior – October 29th

The Golden State Warriors have won the last two NBA Championships and don’t seem to be slipping anytime soon. All eyes are fixated on the Warriors and whether or not they will repeat for the third time this season. What better measuring stick for the Chicago Bulls than a home match-up with this perennial powerhouse right out of the gates?

Chicago Bulls vs. Phoenix Suns – November 21st

This game is less notable for the match-up (at least for now) than it is for the history. The Chicago Bulls have not played a home game on either side of the Thanksgiving holiday for nearly 40 years. Beyond that, the number one overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Deandre Ayton, is playing for the Suns. Bulls and basketball fans alike are eager to see how his skills will translate to the big leagues.

Basketball fans may argue that there are top places to go watch the Bulls all over the country but, the truth is, there is nothing quite like a Chicago Bulls home game at the United Center. Hopefully you can see for yourself during your stay with us at The LaQuinta Inn and Suites Chicago Lake Shore. If the team isn’t in town, however, don’t fret. The Windy City is full of world class restaurants, museums, parks, nightlife, and activities that are sure to make your stay here one to remember!
