Comic Richard Lewis at Zanies

Come to Zanies Comedy Club in Chicago’s Old Town to see the king of neurotic comedy Richard Lewis January 17-18, and stay at the nearby and affordable LaQuinta Inn & Suites in historic Hyde Park!

Richard Lewis has been compared to jazz musician Charlie Parker for his high energy and improv skills. Comedy Central listed Lewis as one of the top fifty comedians of all time. GQ named him one of the most influential humorists of the 20th Century. His hallmark line, about having the date from hell, has turned into hundreds of dates and funny and filthy stories.

Richard Lewis has been a part of the riotous HBO hit “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for all nine years, basically playing himself. He portrays himself in three classic films, “Diary of a Young Comic,” “Leaving Las Vegas,” and the indie film “Drunks.” His DVD package, “A Bundle of Nerves,” spans forty years of his comic genius. His memoir, “Another Great Depression,” was published in 2000. His big break came when he made multiple appearances on “Late Night with David Letterman.”
