Andrea Bocelli

Music lovers of all ages! Come to Chicago’s United Center to see the great Andrea Bocelli Dec. 6, and stay at the nearby and affordable LaQuinta Inn & Suites in historic Hyde Park!

Andre Bocelli’s voice could fill ten United Centers. He is wildly popular because of his crossover style of fusing arias with pop songs. He will appear with opera singer Larisa Martinez. Expect some duet magic!

Andrea Bocelli, completely blind at age 12 from getting hit in the eyes with a soccer ball, studied to become a lawyer, all the while winning singing contests all over Italy. Opera legend Luciano Pavarotti discovered and encouraged him. Bocelli soon won a recording contract, and ended up singing duets with Pavarotti. His first opera role was Macduff in Verdi’s “Macbeth.”

In 1999, Andrea Bocelli was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist. He has gone on to sing before presidents and queens. He has recorded 20 studio albums. He was presented the World Music Award, for “World’s Best-Selling Classical Artist. Celine Dion has said that “if God had a singing voice, he must sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli.”
